THE SCOTTISH VINTAGE BUS MUSEUM - 2000 SCOTTISH TRACTION ENGINE SOCIETY RALLY
The SCOTTISH TRACTION ENGINE SOCIETY RALLY was a two-day event in May that saw a variety of traction engines - mobile and static - being put through their paces. The main activity was the tractor-pulling competition that took place in our car park. This consisted of the tractors pulling a trailer that had some sort of geared mechanism fitted, which seemed to progressively apply a breaking force. The photos below show some of the many exhibits taking a leisurely run round the site.

As usual at such events, the museum operated a FREE VINTAGE BUS SERVICE to and from Dunfermline Bus Station and an internal bus service ran round the site as required.
The reasonable weather helped to attract decent crowds who seemed to appreciate the on-site catering that included a burger bar and the museum cafe. The museum Display Hall, workshop and storage sheds were open for viewing and were well attended.
Museum members had the usual full access to the site.
