THE SCOTTISH VINTAGE BUS MUSEUM - 2001 OPEN WEEKEND
The weekend of the 18th and 19th August saw our annual Open Weekend take place at Lathalmond. Sorry for the lack of photos but as you may know I spend most of the day in the control office. Thankfully, Gerry Cushley sent me a 'numerous selection of photos taken on the Sunday - thanks Gerry.

Newly restored ex Alexanders (Fife) Bristol Lodekka
BXA 464 B (FRD 199) moving into place for her inaugural
service trip to Dunfermline. Little did we know that
within half an hour a broken front off-side leaf spring -
possibly broken on the trip - would cause a steering fault that resulted in a collision with a barrier on approach to Dunfermline Bus Station. |
| Saturday was a fine day until late afternoon and most of the buses seen on the left provided trips to and from Dunfermline and round the site. | ![]() |

Sunday's weather wasn't so good (a massive understatement if ever there was one) but although visitor numbers were down on Saturday's they still came in respectable numbers and overall visitor numbers were up on 2000. |
