The A.E.C. gazette regrets to record the death, on August 13th 1948 after a long illness of Mr H.Bailey, who had been a lorry driver with the production control department at Southall since 1927. He was 64. Mr Bailey's service with the company extended over 49 years, going back to 1899, when he was first engaged as a sick horse boy with the former L.G.O.C. He became a lorry driver with the engineering department in 1910. He had an exemplary record at the wheel, and in 1946 gained the highest award of the N.F.S. association. Sincere sympathy in their loss is offered to the family.
