THE SCOTTISH VINTAGE BUS MUSEUM - 2002 DALMENY WHEELS OF YESTERYEAR PARTICIPATION
On 21st July 2002, several buses left Lathalmond heading for Dalmeny to participate in the WHEELS OF YESTERYEAR rally, organised by the SCOTTISH ASSOCIATION OF VEHICLE ENTHUSIASTS. Considering the recent very wet weather, we were lucky to gat a dry if cloudy day. Underefoot was a bit dodgy in some places though. All photos by Jim Crichton

Owing
to the soft ground - caused by the aforementioned rain, the heavy vehicles
were all crammed into what appeared to be the only hard-standing available. Lathalmond-based ex Fife Lodekka (BXA 464 B) is centre stage in this view, with ex Burnley, Nelson & Colne Leyland PS2? (CHG 541) on the left and ex Halley Bedford SB (NXP 506) on the right. |

The
photo on the right sees an ex Edinburgh Atlantean manned by members of the
Lothian Bus Club / Edinburgh
Transport Group (ETG), open-top Leyland single-decker (YSL 334) from
the fleet of Mac's Tours in Edinburgh, ex SMT AEC Reliance (SWS
671), ex Fife Leyland Tiger Cub? (JVS 541) and BXA 464 B again - all
Lathalmond-based apart from the Mac's Tours bus. |

No
show without Punch - as my mother always said - grandson Andrew gets in the
picture in the Lodekka cab. |

A panoramic
view of some of the cars on show - with the River Forth and Fife in the
background. |
