THE SCOTTISH VINTAGE BUS MUSEUM - ROSS SCOULAR'S PHOTO GALLERY
SHEDS 4 AND 100 EXCHANGE
At their meeting of 27th March 2002, the museum committee decided that following the imminent removal of the roof tiles in shed 4, the shed would be upgraded from deep storage to operational 'running shed', access being improved with an additional shutter door at the rear (west end). It was felt that with more vehicles emerging from restoration to become operational this would provide increased accomodation and also improve the facility for stallholders at open weekends. Deep storage would be relocated to shed 100.
In early April 2002, all buses were removed from shed 4 - driven where possible, towed where necessary. Following the removal of the roof tiles, shed 100 was emptied of 'running' buses and was then packed with as many future / long-term projects as possible. The remainder and all 'runners' were then transferred to shed 4.
Seizing the moment - to see buses that haven't seen the light of day since the transfer from Whitburn - Ross Scoular brought along his camera to capture as much as possible on film. The following photos were not all taken during the shed exchanges but most were.
