THE SCOTTISH VINTAGE BUS MUSEUM - VICTORIA COACH STATION 75th ANNIVERSARY

MSF 750P and several hardy travelers took a nostalgic trip to London, via the traditional night-time A74/A66/A1 route. Although new heaters had been fitted I found it quite cold on the way down. We had to waste about an hour at breakfast time to allow for arriving at Victoria around 09:30. We then had a good run into Victoria where we arrived first.

My wife and I stayed in Central London on the Saturday night whereas most others stayed near where the bus was to be parked. We got the dreaded phone call on Saturday evening to say that there was a problem with the power steering motor, and could we be at Victoria by 10 the next day.

On the Sunday we learned that there was also an electrical fault and that they were awaiting a jump start but that turned out to be a faulty master switch that a bit of jiggling fixed. We headed for Victoria anyway, to soak up the atmosphere and take some photos.

A trip to Ensignbus resulted in the power steering motor being replaced before arrival back at VCS around 3pm. We then posed on Stance 20, the traditional stance for Scotland-bound departures.
